Time-machine

Would it be possible to log and store the history of what the map looked like at a given time? Then you could go back and see a snapshot of the map from earlier. Even sweeter, select a time-range and play an animation of how certain players/alliances are advancing.

I don't know if this would be too hard on your servers, but it would be pretty freaking awesome. Thanks, love it so far.

It's possible, but is it really useful? Each map snapshot around 5mb of data.

It would be extremely useful for understanding the big picture -- monitoring the direction and rate of progress for a competing alliance, for example. It may also help with understanding what happened in a conflict (who started it, how it unfolded), depending on how frequently the snapshots are available.

This is tertiary compared to consistent, real-time data, however. Currently, it's been almost a week since the last update on World 19.
